Autumn is slowly making its way into Brussels. There are still plenty of beautiful days for a walk in the park, although a hot chocolate is starting to sound increasingly tempting too. With Halloween just around the corner, “spooky season” is beginning to pop up everywhere. Museums opening their doors at night, manga fans coming together, a first lesson in wizardry… We’ve rounded up a few outings to help you make the most of October without spending the entire month curled up under a blanket.
Museum Night Fever
Normally, museums would have closed their doors long before this time of night. But during Museum Night Fever, that’s when the party is just getting started. Concerts, dance and performances: for one evening, you can discover Brussels’ museum collections in a completely different atmosphere.
From Bozar to the museums in Cinquantenaire Park, map out your own route and pick the places that appeal to you most. We’ll be joining the party too, helping you get from one museum to the next. An evening when you’re definitely allowed to stay up a little later.
Practical information:
Location: participating museums across Brussels.
Date: Saturday 17 October 2026, from 7 pm to 1 am.
By public transport: metro lines 1 and 5, stop Central Station for Bozar or Merode for the museums in Cinquantenaire Park. Two special STIB-MIVB shuttles will take you easily from one museum to another. Tram 92 will also run later and remain in service until 1 am.

Made in Asia
Is your pile of unread manga already taking over your bookshelf? Made in Asia probably won’t help with that. The festival is returning to Brussels Expo with artists, plenty of stands and everything related to video games.
Naturally, there will be plenty of cosplayers too. So don’t be surprised if you suddenly bump into a familiar character on your way to Heysel.

Dates: Saturday 17 October 2026 from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday 18 October from 10 am to 5 pm.

Brussels Oktoberfest
You don’t have to travel all the way to Munich to enjoy the Oktoberfest atmosphere. A large marquee awaits fans of Bavarian specialities, live music and long tables filled with friends at Cinquantenaire Park.
Feel free to bring out your traditional outfit, but you’re just as welcome without lederhosen or a dirndl. It’s the perfect way to end a walk through the park. And the journey home? We’ll take care of that.

By public transport: metro lines 1 and 5, stop Merode or Schuman. From there, it’s just a few minutes’ walk through the park to the marquee.

Comic Con Brussels
A few days before Halloween, the first costumes will already be appearing at Tour & Taxis. Comic Con Brussels brings together fans of comics, films, TV series and video games at Gare Maritime.
Meet actors and artists, browse stands packed with collectibles and, of course, admire plenty of cosplay. Looking for that one missing piece for your collection? Or simply fancy stepping into your favourite universes for a while? Having a cape in your wardrobe is definitely not a requirement.

Dates: Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026.
By public transport: bus 46, 86 or 88, stop Tour & Taxis. From there, continue on foot to Gare Maritime.

Detours Festival
After several months packed with urban dance, Detours Festival wraps up its season at the Théâtre National. The finalists from the different battles will go head-to-head and show off their best moves in front of the audience.
Before the grand final, the Urban Dance Caravan will make its way through the streets of the city centre. Don’t have a single dance move up your sleeve? No problem. Cheering them on from the audience counts too.

Date: Saturday 24 October 2026, at 7 pm for the grand final.
By public transport: metro lines 1 and 5, stop De Brouckère, or metro lines 2 and 6, stop Rogier. From there, the theatre is within walking distance.

Harry Potter: The Exhibition
Never received your letter from Hogwarts? No worries: Harry Potter: The Exhibition is opening the doors to the wizarding world anyway.
Discover costumes and props from the films, walk through familiar sets and try your hand at brewing a potion. The exhibition combines memories from the films with interactive experiences. And luckily, you won’t need to find Platform 9¾ to get to Brussels Expo. Metro 6 will do the trick just fine.

Dates: various time slots are available in October 2026. Check the ticket shop for opening days and available times.
By public transport: metro 6 or tram 7, stop Heysel. From there, continue on foot to Palace 2.
